My First Blog Post

Welcome to my first blog post. Actually, that’s inaccurate. I’ve blogged with a friend, under a pseudonym, and under my own name in various blogs that I have started with great enthusiasm and then gradually abandoned. I never was much of a dia
I do have another blog with Mini-Spoiler Free Book Reviews, in which I provide short reviews or blurbs about books I have read for one reason or other. I actually used to have more time to read, but recently I’ve been busy… ANYWAY -rist.

This is my first blog post for Writer on the Verge. I thought it might be interesting to list a few projects I’ve worked on, just to give you an idea of the range of projects I’ve completed. Ready? Are you sure? This reads like one of those misguided Career Builder job match emails: Dating Profile for Young Man Looking for His Cougar; How to Grow Orchids (set of 10 articles and I knew NOTHING about orchids); Law firm articles about deceptive Yasmin advertising; lesson plans for reading comprehension; copy for iPhone app storybook; a variety of articles about dentistry; a short story for a foot fetishist (I swear, when I took the job, I thought he was a podiatrist or something); a Cosmo-style dating article; ghostwrote several eBooks and eCookbooks; ghostwrote a full length young adult science fiction novel; reviews of websites and applications; iTunes web app copy; SEO keyword based articles; and so much more. I also performed research for two authors who were writing about literacy.

That’s probably enough to keep you thinking for now. Next time, I’ll tell you what other kinds of jobs I’ve done…

  1. So you really wrote The Hunger Games!! I’m not surprised at all.

I just found this blog today from your other blog and I love it. I always wondered what your freelance work consisted of and this sounds very interesting. Plus I’m super-impressed you can keep up with three blogs! I only have one and it’s sorely neglected ….
