You may have noticed my absence around here lately. Or maybe you didn’t, which is just as well because I wasn’t here and it wouldn’t have done you any good to look for me here anyway. The reason for my absence is actually a mishmash of reasons all balled up together in one big clump of stuff.
I won’t get all TMI on you, but I’ve been dealing with some health issues, my mother and sister have had some health issues, and to be completely honest, I am having a little trouble figuring out life without my brother. It’s been a little over a year, but somehow I keep thinking I should be calling him or texting him or thinking how much he would love the book I’m reading and then his death slaps me in the face again.

I’m reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and am over-the-moon that Harper Lee is releasing another book. Of course, it won’t be able to compare with To Kill a Mockingbird, but it will be good. How could it not be good?
I have a question for you. Well, for those of you that are real people and not the ones who just want their random links on my page. What do you want to talk about here? Writing? Reading? My business? Books? Some of those awful Oscar gowns? Why John Travolta looks like a mannequin? The perfection of Neil Patrick Harris?
